SfL CEO Discusses the new Training & Excellence Standard for DCPC
Dr Ross Moloney, CEO of Skills for Logistics commented on the proposed Training and Excellence Standard for Driver CPC which the Skills for Logistics team will roll out to the sector in September 2014.
My team have been overwhelmed by the positive response to this initiative and the constructive engagement from employers. This confirms the clear demand to make DCPC better.
This scheme will help excellent training providers trade on their excellence and others to benchmark their training provision internally.
The endorsement will also allow employers the opportunity to quickly access a list of endorsed training providers who will provide them with a high quality product and service.
This endorsement scheme is going to happen so we urge training providers to get on board. We already have 20 training providers interested – and they will be among the first to go out and shout about their standard to the market.
I really want you, as a quality trainer, to get the SfL standard – and I want the endorsement to be attractive to you as an option.”
Skills for Logistics would like to hear from Driver CPC training providers who wish to be in first tranche to go through the assessment and would also like to hear from employers who want to help develop the standard. Please contact: [email protected]
