A STEPPING STONE FROM THE MILITARY INTO A QUALITY LOGISTICS JOB
The team at Skills for Logistics, Future Horizons, Career Transition Partnerships, Job Centre Plus and leading logistics employers have developed a short, practical Traineeship Programme that will provide the functional skills needed to step out of the Service and into either a logistics apprenticeship or a full-time logistics career.
The duration of the programme is a minimum of 6 weeks to a maximum of 10 weeks depending on the nature of the traineeship and is supported by leading UK logistics employers.
PRACTICAL ‘WORK READY’ SKILLS
The Programme will give you ‘work ready skills’ at Level 1 in the classroom and on site practical skills within the workplace. In addition, with coaching and mentoring, the Programme will give you the confidence you need to do the job.
Employers have a variety of opportunities available. For those of you who are over the age of 18 and may be interested in becoming a professional LGV driver, there may be opportunities for you to take your LGV licence fully funded, leading to a full time career as a professional driver.
At the end of the programme, there will be a guaranteed job interview with the possibility of an offer of employment with a quality logistics company.

Our Traineeship Programme is open to anyone that has left the Military, aged between 16-24, unemployed and resides within the East Midlands. Candidates must be available from June 2014 to end-October 2014. The best bit? The Programme won’t cost you a penny!
