Companies who invest in their workforce and encourage continuous professional development will boost their productivity and be better positioned to succeed in such a competitive environment.
What is Train to Gain?
Train to Gain is the new service, from the Learning and Skills Council that provides free, specialist impartial advice to employers.
The service ensures you get the training and skills relevant to your business needs. It is free to all employers and your identified training may have subsidised funding from Government.
Skills Brokers
Skills Brokers will work with you to determine your company needs now, and in the future, based on a clear understanding of your business objectives.
They will source relevant courses and advise you of any available funding. Once you have agreed a training package tailored to your requirements, training will be delivered at a time and place to suit your business, including bringing the training to your door.
Skills Brokers are trained to meet national quality standards. The Learning and Skills Council uses ongoing customer satisfaction surveys to monitor the independence, impartiality and quality of the service they provide. It also uses this information to review the Skills Brokers’ contracts.
