Skills for Logistics aims to redress this, starting with this female focused training programme, with the support of the Scottish Executive.

Skills for Logistics recently completed a successful pilot programme which:

    • Investigated the female perception of the role of a driver and identified the reasons why women were reluctant to enter the profession.
    • Created strategies for recruitment and retention of female staff.

The result is the development of a female driver training scheme based on the existing Scottish Driver Training Scheme.
