Skills for Logistics, the Sector Skills Council for the freight logistics industries, in partnership with Train to Gain recently hosted a successful Olympic Opportunities breakfast briefing for employers in the East of England. The event, held at the Orton Hall Hotel, focused on the supply chain business opportunities for the logistics sector around the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
A number of logistics employers attended the event where they were provided with advice and guidance on bidding for London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games supply chain contracts, and discovered how their peers have seen direct benefits to business through training and skills development.
