Skills for Logistics, the Sector Skills Council for the freight logistics industries, in partnership with Train to Gain recently hosted a successful Olympic Opportunities breakfast briefing for employers in the East of England. The event, held at Hylands House in Essex, focused on the business opportunities for the logistics sector around the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Over 60 regional logistics employers attended the event where they were provided with advice and guidance on bidding for Olympic contracts, and discovered how their peers have seen direct benefits to business through training and skills development.
