Overview
We are currently refreshing our website and as a
result, this section of the website will not be available until the
beginning of September 2010.
National Occupational Standards (NOS) and Qualifications
We recently reviewed and updated our NOS in
preparation for the development of Qualification and Credit Framework
(QCF) qualifications and to refresh our SVQ’s for Scotland.
This work was recently completed and in partnership
with Awarding Organisations the first of these awards will be launched
in early September 2010 with further qualifications being launched
during autumn 2010.
Our current work
During the autumn we will be working on new level 3
qualifications for Driving Goods Vehicles, Warehousing and Storage, and
International Trade and Logistics Operations. We will also be
developing a level 2 qualification in lift truck operations and other
mechanical handling equipment.
To make sure these qualifications meet industry
needs, we will be running a number of consultation events to gain the
views of those with industry experience at all levels.

The new website
Our new website will have a section designed to
enable visitors to quickly find details of NOS, qualifications and
apprenticeship frameworks.
