The time is right to remind everyone involved in the logistics sector about some key priorities that will have a lasting effect on Skills for Logistics and employers and providers across the sector. We want you to be aware of what we are trying to achieve and how you might become involved.
Skills for Logistics aims to improve productivity and efficiency across the sector, enhancing UK competitiveness in the global market.
We focus on three core objectives:
- Increase investment in training - we work with employers to increase demand for and investment in structured skills development thereby improving skills levels across the sector.
- Raise the capability and capacity of training supply - we articulate the skills demands of the sector and use those to increase the capacity and quality of training provision.
- Become the sector's authoritative voice on skills issues - by influencing publc sector policy makers and opinion formers across the UK.
